"OUT OF THE DARKNESS" POST 120

Problems arise in life when you allow money to become the main focus of your life.  God does not care whether we have wealth and possessions.  The problem lies in keeping it in it's proper perspective.  We are to keep first things first.  Otherwise you wake up one day amidst all those possessions and realize you have lost your desire for God.  Losing that desire for spiritual things is called "quenching the spirit."  This is something that happens within the heart of a greedy person, which is why Jesus said, "seek ye first the kingdom of heaven; and all these things shall be added unto you."
An abundant life refers to having spiritual fullness, joy and purpose, rather than just material wealth and physical existence.  That abundance consists of a strong relationship with God, a deep inner fullfillment and the fruit of the spirit; the fruit of the spirit being love, joy and peace.  It is not about living a life free of challenges, but a life full of strength, hope and grace through your divine provision and personal effort.
Look to your spiritual fulfillment.
Look to a life which is full and satisfying; not dependent on money or material things.  Balance and ground yourself in a connection with God.  A stronger foundation you will not find.
