Having a "spirit of love" is a deep, selfless and unconditional affection that surpasses emotion.  When you have a "spirit of love" you are characterized by compassion, empathy and a deep desire for the wellbeing of others.  It is not just a feeling.  It is a way of acting and interacting with the world through kindness, patience and a willingness to serve.  While love brings strong emotions, the "spirit of love" has a deeper, more enduring quality that transcends feelings which come and go.  It goes beyond romantic love, beyond familial love and emcompasses a broader sense of connection and empathy for all of humanity.

You cultivate a mindset of compassion, forgiveness and support.

Having a spirit of love is seen as having connection to a higher power; a connection that fosters a sense of unity with all of humanity.  It encourages a shared humanity with others, even those who are different or have made mistakes.  The "spirit of love" is expressed through acts of service to others.  It may include making sacrifices for their wellbeing.  It also includes a great capacity to forgive others, being understanding of their perspectives and also to offer support in times of difficulty.

When God creates this kind of love within someone, there will be no need to fear.  When this kind of love is created between two people, it WILL NEVER FAIL.
