"OUT OF THE DARKNESS" POST 64

The best all around protection for the child of God is putting on full armor; the full armor of God.  Without it, I personally would not be able to survive each day; I would be entirely too vulnerable.

I put on the Full Armor of God...

I put on the Boots of Peace,

The Belt of Truth, 

The Breastplate of Righteousness,

The Shield of Faith,

The Helmet of Salvation, and

The Sword of the Spirit.

"Boots of Peace" signifies a willingness to spread the good news of Christ. To stand firm in your faith in the midst of challenges, representing a spiritual stance of peace and stability in the face of adversity.

"Belt of Truth" represents the foundational truth of God's Word to be held close to one's heart.  It is our support against deceit and lies, actively embracing and living by God's truth to stand firm against spiritual attacks.

"Breastplate of Righteousness" is the protective armor representing the moral perfection attained through Christ.  By putting on this breastplate, believers are protected from spiritual attacks by relying on God's righteousness as their own; guarding your heart against evil and sin.

"The Shield of Faith" means relying on your strong belief in God as a protective barrier against spiritual attack, doubts and temptations or negative influences.  When faced with challenges or uncertainty, holding on to your faith will shield you from doubt and fear.

"The Helmet of Salvation" symbolizes the protection of our minds and thoughts from evil through the assurance of our salvation in Christ.  Just as a physical helmet protects the head, "the Helmet of Salvation" protects the mind from negative thoughts, doubts and temptations by reminding us of the secure foundation of our faith.

In every battle or warfare, weapons are used for defense.  

The "Sword of the Spirit" is the spiritual weapon God has provided for you.  The Sword is the Word of God.  All scripture is God-breathed and useful for our protection against the evil one.  The Word carries God's power and authority. If you think His Word does not make the evil one flee, you would be wrong.  Leaning on the Word is a tremendous protection for a Christian against the dark one. 

 Your way of putting on the full armor of God can be praying, studying scripture, journaling, being kind and helping others,

exercising, and spending time with friends who have high standards.  

When stepping into your spirit filled, Christian walk, the Full Armor of God is definitely necessary for staying protected in this dark world.
