"OUT OF THE DARKNESS" POST 93

Your home is where your heart is.  Your home is something so special; indescribable.  Not every place will be your true home.  It is not about the structure at all.  It is about the important things such as being with the people you love, having great experiences and memories.  Your true home will be where your heart feels safe and loved. It is a sanctuary space where your emotional attachment cultivates a strong sense of security, physically and emotionally.   When you feel emotionally connected to your surroundings, you can relax and be yourself without fear of threat or any judgement.  You can find peace and nurture your inner self.  Your home is a place you can retreat to from the outside world and find much needed refuge.  If it is right within your heart, it will be your place of personal growth.
Back in 2011, my husband and I bought some property.  Upon my very first visit there, I had an immediate reaction to the place.  Without living there a single day, my heart knew it was not at home.  Have you ever felt that way?  'Home' should bring your heart feelings of warmth, familiarity and total comfort.  Your heart's home is a place of sustinence.  A place where family, food and rest is centered.  If anything feels off, than chances are that this location is a temporary stop within your life and not the permanent home for your heart.  A home should be protected at all times against destructive influences that would taint the happiness that resides there.  Can your family find peace and rest within your home?  Or is there a constant unease or constant tension within your home?
My home will be a place to welcome my husband with love and celebration when he comes home from a long day at work.  I want him to feel a great joy upon returning.  He should eagerly look forward to coming home.
Always strive to cultivate a spirit of joy and gratitude.  Just as you show great love for your family within your home, your home should be an open, safe environment for entertaining a stranger with gratitude as well.  It should be a place that radiates Christ's love.  They should be able to feel that joy and comfort to overflowing.
If you view your home as a place of hospitality, to welcome our families and the hurting around us, it will facilitate more strength and motivation for what happiness is within.
